I’ve been doing a lot of home improvement projects lately and thought it would be fun to show off some of the progress with you! I had seen a lot of different mirror frames on Pinterest and love how it spruces up the space! So, I went to work figuring out how I could do it myself!
My neighbors were getting a new fence and had a ton of cool weathered wood pieces left over from the old fence being removed. When they asked if I wanted any sections of the old fence for projects I, of course, jumped at the chance to get my hands on some. I tucked the fencing away on the side of my yard and it sat there waiting for me to come up with something to use it for. When I saw some of the weathered mirror frames on Pinterest I knew the old fencing would be perfect for this project!
I measured, cut and hung the frame and could not be more thrilled with how it turned out!
The corners were cut at a 45 degree angle. For the bigger mirror the top and bottom pieces needed to be cut into two sections. For those pieces the middle joints were cut at a 90 degree angle.
To hold the frame to the mirror before the liquid nails dried I used tape and a few canisters filled with water.
The finished piece… but not the finished bathroom! More to come.
